-
What platform will we use?We use Google Meet. Please download this and make sure you are familiar with the features, especially ‘screen share’. Google docs is also a great way of sharing documents which allow us to work together remotely. Each student will be given their very own google classroom where all tasks are set and resources stored. 'Calendly' is the app I use for all bookings. Once you book your lessons with us, you will be sent a link to the google meet.
-
How do I pay?You will receive an invoice with my bank account details. We ask for at least four lessons' payment upfront. If there is an outstanding balance, no other lessons will be able to take place until this is cleared, unless other arrangements have been agreed upon.
-
Can I sit in the lesson with my son/ daughter? This depends on the student and their preferences. Most students do not want to be watched and would feel more confident learning 1:1 with their tutor. If you would like some feedback , this can be done in the last 10 minutes of the lesson.
-
How do I get feedback? If you would like to talk to me about your son/daughter’s progress, please arrange for the lesson to finish 10 minutes early so we can use the final 10 minutes to discuss progress, concerns and next steps.
-
How many lessons will I need? This depends on the level and nature of study. After the initial consultation, we will be able to answer this question in more detail. We recommend that you have a fixed and regular study time each week, for consistency.
