Safeguarding Policy

It is important that every parent, guardian or carer has confidence that their child is working in a safe environment online.

All correspondence will be via the parent or carer who has booked the lesson, unless other agreements have been made.

If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch.

Disclosure and Barring Service

I am fully DBS checked (Disclosure and Barring Service) on the live update service and I can provide this documentation for parents, carers or guardians should they wish to see it.

Safe and Secure

In order to safeguard students whilst in their lesson, I would ask that a parent, carer or guardian remains in the next room with the adjacent doors open so that they are able to hear the lesson in progress. This is common safeguarding practice in schools and educational settings that is intended to help both you and your child feel secure whilst having their lesson.

Expectations

Students should attend lessons from an open room or within earshot of a parent for safeguarding purposes.

Students must dress appropriately as if attending in-person sessions (e.g., no pyjamas, swimwear, etc.).

Students must not share the login details or online classroom links with others. These are intended for the enrolled student only.

Recording of online sessions is prohibited unless expressly authorised by me and all participants in the session.

If a tutor feels that they have any safeguarding concerns, they will raise these with the parent/guardian via email as soon as possible.

Thank you for entrusting me with your child's educational journey. These expectations are intended to create a safe and conducive learning environment for everyone involved. Should you have any queries or require further clarification, please feel free to reach out.
